Located @ the western tip of Lake Ontario, Hamilton is a thriving industry town with Lake Ontario's largest & most established port. It is the ninth largest city in Canada, & is the world's largest Hamilton. It is the western end terminus of the Greater Toronto Area.
Hamilton is the Donut Capital of Canada, and probably for good reason. Donut shops seem to be springing up all the time, and at last count, there was one for every 5,721 people in the city.
It is located in the heart of the Niagara Escarpement, meaning that Hamilton is surrounded by gently rolling hills. Everytime I come here, I always plan at least some time to hike the escarpement, for there are so many hidden treasures here, especially the waterfalls!
In the Hamilton Region, there are six municipalities, including Ancaster, Dundas, Glanbrook, Flamsborough, Hamilton & Stoney Creek.

Hamilton is home to McMaster University, one of the largest & most respected Universities in Canada. McMaster is especially well known for its medical program, & biology related programs. Click here to visit McMaster's website.

xclent coverage of a town that one keeps hearing about while touring ontario. u have done full justice to africal lion safari.
Great start on the steel city. I agree that the view from the top of that cliff over Hamilton is just magnificant!
