Conniston was the area that we stayed on our little holiday. We had the intentions of just using this small village as a base for maybe one night then after move more north. As it happened we stayed there the whole time. Conniston is ideally situated for travelling around the Lake District........it is large enough to use as a base but not too big to be overv crowded with tourism.
I am going to put a link on here to my Lake District Pages...all the places listed on them was visited using Conniston as a starting and finishing point, none of the trips away from Conniston was too long driving.
For more information are areas close to Conniston please visit my Lake District Pages |
