Maryport
We didnt see anywhere to eat or visit.....if anyone can correct me I will be happy and will make another visit next time.
Best thing there was the view from the harbour.
This page is near enough a carbon copy of a page in my Lake District Pages......This is an individual town but is also on the Lakes pages to try and tie up with the suggested trips around that area. Please use the link to find more information for surrounding areas.

Maryport has a nice harbour area, lovely beaches and even Roman ruins. Also superb views across the Solway Firth. It is very handy for the north western lakes and you'll find the natives very friendly.
Everyone gone to the moon? Great to see you on line.
Great tip ;-)
Maybe I'll skip Maryport if I'm ever in that area!
