Theme: Skiing/Snowboarding
Sheffield is one of the few citys in England that hosts a dry ski slope. It stands out in many parts of Sheffield as my city is quite hilly, you can see the big white slopes with black dots hurtling down them. There are several ski slopes, chair lifts and it caters for most kinds of skiing. There are begginer classes and is quite popular for children. There is a shop and a bar on site.
Dont let the area put you off as you are going there....it is a true dump but once at the ski village it is quite nice.
Equipment: This is taken from an information leaflet I picked up, not my words.
What to wear:
Slope users must keep arms, legs and hands covered. Loose trousers/tracksuit bottoms, sweatshirt and gloves are ideal. Remember to dress for the weather. We also advise long sports socks.
So there you have it folks.
When going there take your time, I found the signs not very good and I live here. Once you go under a very tight but high railway bridge you know you are on the right road.
