Insight | Derwent on the edge of Sheffield |
Sheffield is one of the largest citys in England and is situated in South Yorkshire. On the map look for Manchester "Everybody knows Manchester " and we are just below. Sheffield is a multi cultural city that lives in perfect harmony unless you go to the no go areas like outside your house after dark. The city is popular for its University so therefore the city appears to a have a large population of young people. The university is a huge place and is becoming more and more popular world wide.
We was once famous for the steel and silver industries but they have long gone now even though local rumours say with todays technology we are actually producing more steel than back in the WWII days. Now Sheffield is slowly pulling itself back in line with its rival cities with its new shopping complexes, new look city center and sports venues.
Scratch a little deeper and you find Sheffield has a lot to offer. Like anything else in life you only get out what you put into it.
First of all if you have to choose between Barbados or Sheffield for your summer hols, dont choose Sheffield. If you are passing through or just fed up of sitting on your backside staring at the pc then have a look around and hopefully as my pages begin to grow I will be able to give you ideas and whats here and whats to do.
It has been brought back into my memory recently "The Full Monty" every one that lives in England will have seen this film years ago....those of you that dont live here...go watch it......its quite funny and was a huge success here years ago.....also gives you some accurate shots of my city.....but dont be fooled by the accents.....we dont talk like that ; ) |
