Malabo is a little city situated on a natural crater shaped harbor at the base of Pico Basilé in a volcanic zone with a fantastic view. The city itself is rather picturesque and is plenty of graceful Spanish colonial buildings and has attractive views across the harbor. Make sure to see the Spanish cathedral and to walk along the road to the harbor to see the giant fruit bats which live in the trees. The market place should also not be missed.

Bata is the second city of E.G. and the first one in the Rio Muni mainland. If you arrive to Bata from Malabo the flight will take you 45min. From the airport to the city there are a few kilometers along a coastal road with beautiful white sand beaches. Bata is a wide and quite city in opposite to Malabo and surrounded by white sand beaches. Is a really pretty city, with beautiful spanish colonial buildings but a little neglected.
