Either Singapore is full of conscious riders or the government highly succeeded in conveying the message, as a matter of fact I have seen a safe behaviour among motorcyclists. Pretty safe here.

Strolling around - Heat

Singapore is a neat place to enjoy. Even when the sightseeing tour is over, strolling without aim is a good experience for watching people in their everyday life.
The only constraint is the high temperature/humidity, which at times makes it very hard to deal with. I found myself craving for whatever little shade I could find, at times being the mere shelter offered by street signs and traffic lights....whenever these spots were not already occupied by others!
It's highly advisable to carry along some drinkable water and, why not, stop for a cold drink here and there. Try chilled coconut milk which is very refreshing.

Personal Safety

Singapore is a very safe place, its crime rate ranks among the lowest on Earth.
You won't see much police around and residents' opinion is that there's no need for more.
At times, you might see policewomen scooting around town in their elgant outfit and gear.
