Oregon has beautiful beaches, clusters of Redwood trees, waterfalls and mountains.
Make sure not to miss Crater Lake.
With our Oregonian friends living in Reno we rented an RV and wandered through the state.
Well worth a trip if you are in California and good for shopping too. Oregon has 0% VAT.
Portland is home to a famous sport shoes brand outlet.
Built at the junction of the Columbia and Willamette rivers, Portland is a lively city. A festival takes place in August along the Willamette with music, food and lots of people.
We rock climbed in Smith Rock park near Bend, located in the central part of state. A few routes of 5.8 grade.....and just watched those 5.12+ routes on Monkey Face. Temperature was too hot to attempt such difficulties. True, climbing shoes soles get softer yielding higher grip, but we were steaming under the sun on those the dark red rocks.
