"Isn't our Earth beautiful?" ant1606's Profile
Ours is a small world. So far, it's getting smaller everyday. Why shouldn't we explore it as much as we can, and learn more of its diversity and cultures? Keep traveling and respect the environment, everything and everyone you may find on your way. Be patient. Try to improve our beautiful planet and be happy to enjoy your experiences.
These pages are under construction at slow pace, thank you for your patience.
Wonders of nature, art masterpieces and living styles.
Animals, plants and rocks.
People, customs and food.
Science, technology and machines.
We have it all, and all is there for us.
My special appreciation goes to VT and all members sharing helpful information and precious hints.
And I'm grateful to VT for getting people in touch and for having a chance to meet VTers and make new friends around the world!
Traveling is a state of mind. One doesn't have to go half around the globe to be a traveler. Peeking behind the corner can be a rewarding experience and a good start.
Travelers are those eager to discover, learn and understand the "outer" world. Many accomplish respect for differences, some would never have such pleasure.
When the sun sets over our wings, it's time to remember another day and dream about next wing to spread....
Love and lasting friendship are nurture and nourishment, but don't be surprised by the call for solitude. It helps understanding the importance of others in our lives as, alone, we are close to nothing.

Thanks for your comment! These are the Northwestern Italian Alps.
Amazing!!!
Thanks for your answer to 'Need Advise '. I appreciate your advice.
Hello dear Ant,just dropping by to see how you and Deb are.Hope you are both well.
Big hugs Dorrise ((()))
Hi Dorrise, we're doing great and hope life is treating you wonderfully! Wishing you a great day down under! Hugs :)
Thanks for your answer to 'Olympic Peninsula'. Thanks for your advice.
Ti piacera' di sicuro! ;)
I took the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria and then on to Vancouver, which I'd suggest if you have tome on your side. Seeing killer whales playing by the side of the ferry left me speechless. The whole area is spectacular, gotta visit again!
I was up in Seattle and visited the San Juan Islands, but really wanted to get over there. Sara' per un altra volta...e speriamoche sia presto :)
Thanks, Ant...yeah, I first read "toppo" as "troppo", then realized it was spelled differently...too bad, I should have gone with my first impression...and I wasn't sure that the trovarsi was meant to refer to ourselves...because Italian uses the reflexive to sometimes refer to "us" and sometimes just to express the passive voice, and without enough conversation practice, I don't always guess right which one was meant...Bill
Bill, talking grammar with you is such a pleasure! ;)
Great tips buddy!
Hey Antonello! Congrats on your VT Blogger status! Can't wait to see what you do with your pass in the new year!
Ciao Ant & Deb :-) Have you already tried the funny new restaurant in Torino: Il Deutsche Vita? They have funny names for the dishes, like würstel quadrato for Leberkäse (Wikipedia compares it to polpettone). Saw it in a documentary recently.

Ciao Ingrid, wir haben es noch nicht probiert! We know where it is though and right now I could easily have Brezeln, Hering and Schnaps :)
We should go together, just come visit and stay with us!
Yes, thanks :-)) Good idea!!! And I will definitely come. If not next year then 2014, when I am ... free :-)) And ... more fit.
I love Italy, I've visited Rome, Florence and other cities, but I haven't been to Torino. After looking at photos, I would love to go there! Greetings from New Mexico!
Thanks and let me know if you're in town!
