A great city with wonderful architectures I started my spanish class from Feb 2006. There was no big desire at frist.. just for fun.. My teacher was sweet Jessica from Barcelona. I like the way she teaching... gave us useful slangs and also some lovely songs... it was her to show me the beauty of Spanish at the very beginning.. She told us many things about her hometown. I start to dream about Spain..
Neve would know I am able to make it happened so quick.. :) My father was invited to a Pediatric conference took place in Barcelona. I could hardly believe my ears when he told me he want to take me.. yipppppieee... But the process did not go through very smoothly.. Actually i was supposed to be in Australia travelling with my mama at that moment. i've never been to Au either.. it was a group of 12 ppl, the tour was organized by one family friend.. after two nights struggle, i finally made up my mind move on with my papa.. not saying Australia attracts less.. just at that moment Barcelona means more to me.. (i was grateful that mama did give me a hard time.. she has to go alone with those family friends and she herself barely speaks an English word) there was only 2 weeks left for all the preparation... papa's trip was already fixed.. his business visa was easy to get... mine would be a totally different story.. it was a big rush.. i had to took my passport out from Au consulate (it was already handed in for the visa application with the whole group) then queued a lot to get a schengen visa without appointment. i was worrying so much not to make it on time. a great chance that i would have missed both chances.. it was a nightmare... :( Thanks GOD i made it... when i finally landed in Barcelona.. when the warm sun spray of mediterranean touched my skin.. i got know.. it worths for everything.. |
| | Relaaax I stayed in Barcelona for 5 days... which is way too short for browsing the city well.. my papa was stuck in the conference in the first 3 days. one of my friend came through all the way from Hamburg to meet me in BC.. we spent many great moments together... gotta say the life in Barcelona is quite relax.. we were trying to share some as well.. in the small cafe on La Lambla.. on the terrace of Catalunya museu.. and here at the seashore.. we strolled along La Lambra reached Columbus monument.. great view as a prize for all the walking. |
a great place to catch a city view My friend's friend Ivan, a Madrileno who works in Barcelona, was kind enough drove us to Montjuic and showed us the area. It was a nice spot on the top to catch a city view. You will find "Sagrada Familia", "Plaza Espana" and some other famous building in your sight.. | | | terrace of the military museum on Montjuic |
