Amsterdam (all of Holland) is an amazing place. It is truly the crossroads of the world, you can meet people from every part of the world there.

My frist trip was in August of 2003 and I wasn't sure what to expect. Amsterdam has a "bad reputation" - many look at you funny when you tell them where your going. The assume that the only reason your going there is for Drugs and Prostitutes. And prior to going there, that is really all I knew about Amsterdam.

When I got there I saw there is so much more to this must-see city and I can't wait for my return trip in August of 04.

Just returned from my second trip to Amsterdam. And the city is so much better the second time. Having been there once before gave me the advantage of being able to skip some othe basic sites and take in more of the city.

Also it allowed me to visit certain sites more indepth than last time. I also used this as an opportunity to take some more day trips outside of Amsterdam.
