Ica and Huacachina

by Amareyui - last update: Jun 12, 2003

Ica is dusty, crowded and relatively dangerous. But it is a good stopping point between Lima/Pisco and Nazca/Arequipa. The nearby Laguna Huacachina is relaxing, with the oppuntunity to go sandboarding.
If you want to stock up on some Peruvian wine and Pisco bodegas, do it in Ica.

Pros:"Huacachina is a nice place to stay for a day or two after some tiring bus rides"
Cons:"Nothing much to do. Sandboarding is worth a try, although I find it too tiring and not that fun"
