Restaurante o Gordo: Maybe the best Pizza I ever ate

Well, in Caminha there some nice typical restaurants but that day we wanted to take a nice pizza and we didn’t get disappointed with the Restaurant O Gordo.
When we get there it was soon, almost 12:00 pm and we asked a lady there if we could get enter and ask the meal. She was very nice, she recommends us the pizza (medium size - 7,50 euros) and I think it was the best pizza I ever had . The pizza was the medium size but it was big for two persons, we couldn’t eat all!
And the view over the river was great. So we enjoyed the meal and the view a lot.
For desert we had strawberries with chantili and express café to finish.

Don't miss the the Gastronomy of Minho's region

I think where you eat better in Portugal is in the Minho region - north of Portugal. You will find several dishes of codfish, arroz de sarrabulho (a minced pork and pork blood dish), very good seafood if you are by the sea and lamprey or local sável (shad fish) in season if you are by the rivers.
Great pastry and delicious green wine (Alvarinho, Loureiro ...)

Snack-Bar “ Bambi”: Don't Miss The Fresh Seafood in Quarteira

During our stay in Quarteira - Algarve we had almost of our lunches at the Snack-Bar “ Bambi”.
After enjoying the beach in the morning, fresh and tasty seafood was served in this small restaurant not far from there.
The owner of Bambi is a really friendly person and all the staff. And the prices were quite reasonable for the time of the year (mid July).

Muralha da China: Chinese food

Well, almost all the towns in Portugal has at lest one Chinese Restaurant. Lucky me! I love Chinese food.
The one on my photo i sure recommend you, it is located in Braga (Minho region - Northen Portugal) near the Feira Nova shopping mall.
The inside is beautiful and the food very good, so if you are a lover of Chinese food don’t forget the name Muralha da China (Great Wall).

Favorite Dish: All the dishes are good, but don't forget to eat using the chopsticks ;-)

Restaurante Tipico D. Roberto: Don't Miss Tras-os-Monte Gastronomy

Well, if you want a really good and typical restaurant don't miss D. Roberto restaurant. It is located 5 km from Bragança, on the way to Quintanilha, in Gimonde, the old village of three bridges.
You just look my photo; it is a medieval house with wood balconies and the inside with a beautiful decoration with old typical objects, just the perfect environment to have a great dinner.
This restaurant is famous because the called Posta transmontana, it is gorgeous meat of the local cows.
You can see pics of the inside and outside on its webside but the info is in Portuguese.

The best restaurant in Serra da Estrela

As i say on my Folgosinho tip, i had visited Fogosinho just because of the restaurant O Albertinho. All the people who visit Serra da Estrela goes there and I wondered why.
Well when we finally reach Folgosinho, a small village (hard to find!), we saw that were cars all over the place. We drive around and we could find a place to park the car.
Then we went to the restaurant. I must advice you that you must call the restaurant before go there, because if you don?t , you will have to wait and wait. There were so many people, but we didn?t have to wait long because we made our reservation before.
We entered and we had the perfect lunch:
Cabrito assado (Roasted kid baked)
Leit?o (roast sucking pig),
Vitela (heifer),
Javali (wild boar)
Rabbit (coelho), wine,
and for desert, arroz doce (sweet rice ), sheep cheese and coffee.
Did I forget something???

After all this we pay ONLY 10,50 Euros / person, can you believe it?
All was very very good.

A Tendinha: Don't Miss The Fresh Seafood!

Near Lisbon, in Mem Martins we went to a great restaurant called A Tendinha.
There we found a group of Asian Tourists, so it seems to be a recommended restaurant.
We ate seafood, fish with potatoes and shrimp. Hummm delicious!!!
It was a great experience but a little expensive.

Don't miss the Alentejo Gastronomy

A visit to Alentejo' region and the sampling of its gastronomic delights such as bread soups, pork or mutton, olives and plums, as well as cericaia, are musts to the visitor who comes to Alentejo' region.

O Parreira: Don’t miss Traditional Madeira Restaurant

In this traditional restaurant, we had a delicious traditional Madeira meal with animation.
You can see a group of folklore dancing. It is pretty nice to watch them dancing while you eat your meal and then to dance with them.

Favorite Dish: Baked meat in laurel tree stick with Madeira’s wine, it is delicious.
And for dessert Bolo da Madeira (Madeira’s honey cake) you can’t miss, it is my advice; you will love it for sure.
