Getting TO/AROUND: I highly recommend buying day cards for London. They are relatively inexpensive (4,50 GBP) for two zones. They can be used on every form of public transportation (buses, and tube) You can buy all of your day cards together, so you don't have to go everyday and buy a new card. Buy them all at once, and don't worry about it again. The reason this is so good is that you can jump on and off buses, and you don't have to wait in a cue at the tube station. Keep your daycard handy at all times, especially when entering and exiting the tube, you have to insert your card into the turnstyle in order to get out! I saw too many tourists frantically pleading with the station employee's to let them out after they had mindlessly tossed away their ticket in the underground. Overall, if you are planning on seeing as much as you can, get a day card.

Getting TO/AROUND: I chose to take a National Express charter coach to get to London, which was an excellent choice. The service was great, the bus driver was fantastic, and I got to see a lot of the city before I ever even set foot on the ground. National Express offers drop-off locations throughout London Central, and always at a tube/bus station, so you can always get where you are going. The price was very reasonable, only 10 GBP for a one-way trip into the city. They run 24 hours, so if you have an early flight, you can manage to get to the airport on time. Another thing I really liked was that at every bus stop, the driver carefully watched the luggage to make sure nobody walked off with the wrong bag. I highly recommend this service!
