Town Square from second floor of Town Hall

When I was in Helsinki I decided to take a day trip over to Tallinn, I was in the area, so why not?! I left Helsinki at 8am and got back about 6pm. The ferry over takes about an hour and a half.

I spent most of my time in the 'old town' section of Tallinn and to me it was like stepping into a medieval Walt Disney movie. It is definitely a beautiful and magic city, but it does play up to the tourists (which from an economical standpoint is smart, from a tourists point of view... occasionally cheesy).

Alley, Old Town

To be honest I spent most of my time just wandering around, through the alleys, hanging around the town hall, just watching people (locals and a lot of tourists) walking about doing their thing.

But don't worry, I do have a few tips and some pictures for you to enjoy!
