Another over-nighter. Pitlochry is a very pretty town, definitely how I imagined it would be. It's a small and beautiful town, the buildings/houses are beautiful - nothing like this back homein Australia. It doesn't take very long to walk around Pitlochry, so take your time, there's no rush! |

From Pitlochry you have gorgeous views of surrounding mountains. Even with the storm clouds the scenery is amazing. The night I was there there was a huge storm, thunder and lightning and A LOT of rain. But I don't mind storms (as long as I'm safe and warm I don't :) ), and it was nice to watch from the bedroom window at the B and B (see accom. tip for view from my room). |
A local footpath leading down to Atholl Rd. I know it's probably not the safest thing for someone travelling alone to do - but I did spend some of my time checking out 'local' footpaths, and just strolling around back streets of towns. |

Henrik_rrb Wed Apr 18, 2007 18:41 UTC Climbing on up... :) Looks quite much like Derry in Northern Ireland I must say. Which means I should put this place up on my wish list too... stön... :) | JohnniOmani Wed Apr 11, 2007 19:38 UTC Hiya, I think your page is soo cute :) It is my second home and I love going there. It is such a pretty town no? My better half is from there so I visit twice a year and it is a perfect representation of wee Scotland. Great page ;) Jz | Craigellachie Wed Apr 11, 2007 19:13 UTC Hi Marpessa - I'm enjoying reading some of your Scottish pages. I often stop for something to eat at MacDonalds in Pitlochry if I'm going to the Highlands. Better than most resturants of that name :) | MURRA Thu Feb 9, 2006 19:48 UTC some smal towns in scotland can be smart |
