2005...
In 2005 I returned to Ireland and actually spent a few days in Dublin. The last time I was in Dublin before then (2004) I only spent a night there and didn't see much more than Croke Park and a couple of clubs and pubs. I got to see a bit more this time round, but there will still only be a small amount of tips here - but I hope that they will be helpful!

I'd also like to say a big 'thank you!' to my friend Cat and friends Aine and Louise, for always showing me a great time when I am in their country!
Croke Park, Dublin - August 15th 2004
In 2005 I came back to Dublin just for four days, but I had an excellent time. We also made a trip down to Ferns, Co. Wexford for a night - where we saw a pretty exciting local hurling final, felt good to shout and cheer in amongst all the locals :), especially when the Ferns boys won!

I have been to Ireland twice now, and just the hospitality, the people, I hope to come back here many more times in my future :)

Oh - and as for the photo on the left - a trip to Dublin is not complete until you have gone to Croke Park and seen a hurling or gaelic football match (or even International Rules - c'mon Aussies!)

:)

Around Ireland

In 2004 I went to Ireland for the first time and had two wonderful weeks there, a week in Co. Wexford, a couple of nights in Cork and Galway and one night in Dublin.

For someone from Australia it felt a bit weird that I saw so much of the Republic of Ireland in so little time - my home state (Victoria) I think is actually bigger than Ireland - and I still haven't seen all of VIC yet.

Also Please note that on some of my Ireland pages the tips are the same - this is because sometimes people may look at one page but not the other, so if the one tip is appropriate for Co. Cork as it is for Co. Wexford - then it will appear on both pages :).

I also did the 'Ring of Kerry' for pictures from that trip go to my Kerry page. :)
