Trains: Trains - Airport to City

Getting TO/AROUND: I used the train to get from the airport to Sydney's Central Station. It didn't take long (15 minutes - give or take), and since I was staying a few blocks from the station it was an easy and no-fuss way to travel into the city.

Just be sure that if you use the ticket machine that you have EXACT change on you, as most machines I came across would only take exact change. To get from the airpot to Central Station cost me $11 (AU).

    Airways / Airports: Virgin Blue

Getting TO/AROUND: To get to Sydney I flew with Virgin Blue airlines. They have very cheap and competitive flights. If you want anything to eat or drink on the flight you have to pay for it (and headphones if you want to listen to music - good music channels too, plus a great comedy station), but the prices are reasonable.

The best thing about flying with Virgin Blue was the staff, they were fun and friendly... especially when we were told where to go to get our luggage "... and for those of you not listening, you can pick yours up in Bangkok in 3 weeks".

Hi Marpessa Cassie! As a Cass, and from Sydn, you make me so homesick, but love your pics and honest comments-they are so true!! I have been to Geelong many times on business, and it is one of my favourite places. Now I live in Kunming China.
