There's just something majestic about how the mountains of Honk Kong island just tower over all the skyscrapers below. I took my second trip to Hong Kong on New Year's Day, 2004, and I still loved it!
1997 marked the 100th year of British rule, and the return of the sovreign to Mainland China. Lately, there have been a lot of pro-democracy political movements. Hopefully, the two-system one-country will work well in the long-term!
Hong Kong has a lot of one of my favorite foods -- dim sum!! Superstar Seafood Restaurant's Chef Chow (Zhou?) won against Iron Chef Kenichi Chen in the famous TV show Iron Chef. This is an awesome restaurant that everyone must go to! They even have penguin-shaped dim sum!!
- Pros:Cheap an delicious Dim Sum!
- Cons:Hella fast escalators on the MTR!
- In a nutshell:Great place to shop and go broke!
