Visiting Van Gogh's Museum was one of my favorite experiences about Amsterdam. The museum houses the world's largest collection of Gogh's works; there is more than 200 paintings there. I'm not going to give more facts about his work or life; you definitely have to go and see it with your own eyes. You can get an idea of the exhibition on Museum's homepage. Try to visit the museum during a week because on weekend it can get too crowded and you would have to push your way around just to get a glimpse of the painting. Entry costs 9 euros (if you have Amsterdam Pass, then the entry is free).

Rijksmuseum houses great collection of Rembrandt and other famous Dutch painters. The display is so extensive it takes few hours to walk through it and if you want to enjoy it as well then even more. Its not everyday you can see these timeless masterpieces, so take your time and don?t plan any other museum visits for the day. Entrance costs 9 eur/adult. Amsterdam Pass gives free entrance.

Your visit will not complete if you don?t take one of the canal cruises on offer in Amsterdam. Cruise is very good way to get the first impression of Amsterdam, so take it in the beginning of your visit. The canal boats are comfortable, and during cold winter a good warm way to have a look around. There is a tape playing with useful information about the places you see and history of Amsterdam. The ?guide? speaks in Dutch, English, French, Japanese and German (depending on the company). There are many different itineraries available, choose the one you like the best and enjoy yourself. Amsterdam pass will give you two free tours.
