Because I live on the edge of the world, or at least sometimes it feels like that, my next destination is often determined by a new ‘direct’ flight. For some reason Netherlands was not on top of my ‘wish list’ and to be totally honest it hadn’t even occurred to me to visit it until Estonian Air opened a new route. Now that I have been to Amsterdam I feel a bit sill for not knowing and not even wanting to know about it before. It also makes me wonder how many other ‘undiscovered’ places there are that haven’t made it to my ‘wish list’.
I only had 3 days in Amsterdam and I can tell you that this is definitely toooooooo little time. You can’t leave without seeing all the tourist sights and by the time you done with it and start to ‘get’ Amsterdam you already need to leave without being able to relax, chill and let yourself be carried away by this wonderful CITY.
I have written down some tips that might help a first time visitor …
I definitely have to go back there to ‘finish what I have started’… So Amsterdam might have not made it to my ‘wish list’ at first but by the looks of it made a permanent entry… |
