Take a walk on the wild side at Toledo Zoo, which features Artic exhibits, endangered wolves and the African Savannah!
My companion had a family season pass, so we were allowed free entry and parking. Admission is $3.00 parking, $8.50 for adults and $5.50 for children 12 and under.
For $1.50 you can ride their carousel featuring the animals of Africa! They also offer a train ride around the park!

Each July, canvass sail historic ship replicas come up the Maumee River and a festival ensues. The day I went, it was overcast and packed with people. There are several Seafood Bistros lining the wharf, and you can see Toledo across the river!
You may view the smaller ships at no cost, but to get into the festival area, it is $15.00 per adult and ferry rides are extra...
- Pros:Lots of animals and exhibits! The park and animals are kept very clean.
- Cons:Crowded, poor photo ops as all animals are behind glass
- In a nutshell:Toledo Zoo is a great day outing for families!
