A 4 hour drive with a 2 year old!

Meeting the Familia

Greetings From Buffalo
I went to Buffalo twice the summer of 2001 with my at the time boyfriend to visit his friends and family. From Detroit the drive was about 4 hours. This is no easy feat with a 2 year old in the back seat, although the drive was very smooth and laid back through Canada. The only real heavy traffic is at the Ambassador Bridge heading into Canada and near the Rainbow Bridge crossing into NY.

Just inside the NY customs is a Planet Hollywood and Casino Niagra, which my friend's father had said had pretty good payouts, and goes there often. If you stay at Niagra Falls, be sure to take the Maid of the Mist boat tour up near the falls! Very nice. On the Canadian side is Ripley's Believe it Or Not museum and a wax museum with all of the stars! In the basement of the wax museum is a gruesome recreated torture chamber and monsters (not appropriate for small children). I had stayed on the Canadian side with my family when I was 12.

The atmosphere in the suburbs of Buffalo is much like it is here. Working middle class families. We stayed with his mother in N.Tonawanda.
