  • This is the first Hotel I stayed at in Romania. It looks nice from the outside, and we stayed in a cheap room (without TV but with a private bathroom). My impression is that it is an OK hotel, not particularly noteworthy - but it is supposed to be the best in Curtea De Arges. We could have stayed in a pension nearer to Dracula's Castle but we had been travelling (and waiting for trains etc) from Malta for almost 20 hrs, and we had not slept for about 40 hours so we chose the nearest option! The other pensions looked nice from the outside but are a little too out of the way if you are particulary tired. Breakfast was included, but even though the information centre is supposed to be in the Hotel, we did not find the staff to be knowledgeable about transport. If in doubt ask at the train station, bus station and the mini buses situated around the village centre.

  • This is an overpriced two star hotel for Romania (for a hotel outside Bucharest). It charges 60Euros for a double room with private bathroom and TV (with plenty of stations to choose from), and breakfast is included. Our room was quite large, especially compared to hotel rooms you get in Western Europe. The hotel is quite nice, and clean and is strategically placed near the main street of Brasov, leading to the centre. I would definitely recommend this place. Nearby the Hotel Coroana is the one star Hotel Postavarul, which offers much cheaper rooms, but with no private bathroom.
