Life in Seattle | Space Needle with Mt Rainier in the Background |
When I moved from New England to Seattle in 1999, I planned on staying less than a year. As someone born and raised on the east coast, I wanted to experience life on the west coast before returning home to settle down. Things never seem to go as planned, I surprised myself by falling in love with Seattle specifically and Washington in general. I only regret that things worked against me and I ended up moving away.
Now, we try to visit as regulary as possible...to catch up with old friends, revisit some favorite spots, and to show Gareth one of my favorite cities. |

SteveOSF Tue Feb 19, 2008 21:57 UTC Nice page and tips. Great overview of Seattle. | karenincalifornia Tue Jun 7, 2005 16:15 UTC You are SO right about local Seattleites never carrying umbrellas. I'm with you on Queen Anne - if I ever moved back to Seattle (my former home town), this is where I would live. Great Seattle page - you really know what you're talking about! | Jonathan_C Thu Nov 6, 2003 11:54 UTC You will have to come back to Seattle again soon. Anyone who frequents the Tractor Tavern obviously knows where to go. And I'll be using your suggestions next time I visit my sisters in Somerville. | Skeptic-jr Wed Jun 18, 2003 02:32 UTC I sympathize with you that you had to move away. But on the other hand I envy you off living there for a year or so. I was in Seattle a few days and get in love with it as well. In my opinion it is the best American city! |
