Burkina Faso and FESPACO film festival - Burkina Faso

I've travelled to Burkina Faso twice, once in 1999/2000 and then again in 2001 for the FESPACO film festival (FESPACO is the French acronym for the Ouagadougou Pan-African Festival of Cinema and Television, and it's held every two years, in the uneven years).

Burkina is one of the world's poorest countries, consistently near the bottom of development indexes, but culturally it's a diverse and energetic country.
