| | We passed through London on our trip to Africa in July 2005, for a very flying visit (less than 12 hours), although we still managed to squeeze in some tourism - and thought, not for the first time, that we really must spend some more time in this fascinating city!
So, when we realized that we would be flying via London (frequent flyer miles!) for our summer vacation in 2007, we decided a longer stop was in order despite the terrible exchange rate. We ended up staying for just about a week and couldn't believe how much there was to do and how much fun we had!
London is an incredible city - probably one of the great world cities. It has an amazing amount of diversity, a rich sense of culture, and is just, plain fun. We visited museums and gardens, attended plays and concerts, and ate gourmet and street vendor food.
Already, we're planning our next trip back! |
