Mt Meru Hotel: A hotel that has seen better days

The Mt Meru hotel probably would have seemed perfectly fine if we had started out trip here. Instead, we stayed here on the last night of our stay, which happened to be immediately following two incredible safari hotels.

Apparently, Bill Clinton stayed in the Mt Meru Hotel during his trip to Tanzania. As far was we can tell, the place has only gone downhill since then. The rooms were plain and not especially well kept. The food was okay, but the service was much too slow given that there were only three parties eating.

Unique Qualities: Since our stay was included in our safari fee, we're not really sure what the rates were.
