After what seemed like endless days of travel (overnight flight from Boston to Nairobi and bus from Nairobi to Moshi via Arusha), we were so happy to finally arrive at our destination - Moshi and the Kilimanjaro Region. The bus dropped us and all of our luggage off at the MEM Tours office to prepare for our hike up Kilimanjaro. Within an hour we were back on another bus and headed for our hotel. It wasn't until coming back down off the mountain that we actually got to spend some time in Moshi.

We liked what we saw. Moshi is smaller than Arusha and, in our opinion, much more enjoyable. Although we attracted a lot of attention, everyone was much more relaxed and less agressive about trying to sell us stuff. We wandered around, checked our email, went to the bank, and stopped for a snack. Our only regret was not getting to stay longer.
