    • This is definitely undiscovered, but only a couple of kilometres from Surfers Paradise. A large sand island 20km long, it has empty beaches. A ferry runs from the west side of The Spit for about $7 return. A more expensive ferry to Couran Cove runs several time past the campgrounds.
