Near death experience !

Bali was one of my stops on my RTW trip and I enjoyed it a lot because I was there to party and to surf. Unfortunately I wasn't very good at surfing and ran into some problems. The biggest wave of the day caught me and threw me under water against the sand, I was drowsy and couldn't get out of the water... until someone pulled me out and took me ashore... It was an Austrian guy who I still call my friend...

Jimbaran Bay

As many people, I also met a Balinese taxidriver who introduced me to his family. I know, this is common but I still want to tell you...
On a morning he came to knock on my door at the hotel and told me he had arranged something as it was his day off. I got dressed and sent him to the bar of my hotel for two drinks... coffee !!! and a beer for the road :-)
We left towards Jimbaran and he introduced me to the fishermen who took me out into the sea. While floating on the water and working my ... off to get the water out of the boat, I suddenly got pushed in the ocean... don't worry, they wanted me to swim with dolphins, which I did. Loved it and ate the freshly caught fish at night in front of a wonderfully beautiful sunset...

Porters can steal your bag !

Well, at the airport some people tried to steal my bag but what they didn't know was that you don't steal a RTW tripper's bag by running away with it... Why ? you say... try running with a 36 kg bag :-)

Bali is good place to visit. & i agree with you that is nice to see sunset at jimbaran beach. You can eat seafood & see the sunset at the same time. Beside, the place is not so croweded. Romantic place to visit.
