My Home town

As I was born in a small hospital in the city centre, you really can say I'm the Brussels Boy...

What's there more to tell about Brussels than this... If you go to Brussels, you'll always find something to do. In a city of over close to 1 million inhabitants which is the capital of Europe and home of the Nato HQ, and where during weekdaysmore than 25% of the Belgian population come to work, you'll be sure to meet all types of people from all sorts of nationalities.
Taking the metro you'll easily hear 4 to sometimes 10 different languages as this is a multi cultural city.

During the day, you have plenty of museums, parcs, buildings, shops,... to visit and once the sun (which is rare) sets, you'll find all you desire for the night... Clubs, pubs, restaurants,...

Frequently there are events in the city centre like : Fete de la Musique, Brussels Jazz Marathon, Zinnekesparade, ...

If you get to Brussels, you can be sure to have a good time... You'll mix with french and flemish Belgians who are always willing to meet new people...

Brussels is the central city of Europe ! In a heartbeat you can go and visit other great cities in Belgium (Antwerp, Brugge, Oostende...) and you are just a couple of hours away from other major cities like Amsterdam, Paris, London, and many more... You can start in Belgium to visit Europe.

Hi! I've been planning to make a Brussels bar guide too, but maybe I should give up and just direct to yours! One update though - Pablo disco bar is no more. Shame cos the atmosphere was quite unique.

Amazing list of bars ! I also like "Mezzo" in St-Géry, "Canoe Qebrada" (tiny Brazilian café with a boat-shaped bar) in front of Pablo Disco Bar and more ... ;-)

Interesting view of Brussels but you sound slightly too scary with your warning tip, I would have located the highest crime rate in Belgium in Charleroi ;-)
