Just returned from Arches National Park (June 2005). My nose is still peeling from sun burn as I type. But it's all worth it. And you know why just by looking at my photos. |
-- This is my second visit to Arches. From my first visit I know this is the place to take my time. I reserved two nights at Moab in order to have at least a whole day to wander around Arches' amazing landscape. I did get some great early morning light for my photos, but never got the sunset I liked. Oh well, in Arches time is never enough, even when it's not in geological terms. |
-- Arches is often called the place "where rock meets sky". In my photos I try to show that, when squeezed between rock and sky we (human) are just too small. And in geological time our life is just too short. Nothing matters. All we have is now. |
