After entering Venetian Casino and up the escalator, raise your head at the center hall and you'll see this beautiful painted ceiling. You know it's not Michelangelo, but it feels grander than Sistine Chapel. You have to admire Venetian's attention to details.

At Venetian, you can enjoy fine dining and luxury shopping around the Grand Canal and Piazza San Marco area. The photo shows a casino entertainer on stilts at Piazza San Marco giving direction to a tourist.

By far, Venetian's Piazza San Marco is still my favorite spot in all Las Vegas. I can sit here all day watching people from around the world interact with the Venetian entertainers, admire the amazing and amazingly real archtecture, or spend their hard-earn money on a shopping spree in the surrounding luxurious stores. The photo shows a singing group presented by the casino. So what do they sing? Famous Italian love songs of course.

Venetian Casino built a beautiful Grand Canal. Even the sky looks real. The gondola ride, although short, takes you through several bridges, including Rialto, and through many cafes and shops along the narrow canal. A few years ago I visited the real Venice in Italy and it was raining and flooding. Here I don't worry about a thing. Also, I didn't see one slot machine in the canal area, which really makes it tasteful.

Venetian built an incredible indoor Grand Canal, and it's on the 2nd floor! Make sure to take a gondola ride with your love ones (about $12 per person). The gondolier will sing you Italian love songs. Close your eyes and you are in Venice!

Stratosphere is the tallest building in Las Vegas. The tower's 3-leg architecture is similar to the Space Needle in Seattle, but taller than the Needle. There's a rotating restaurant, an observation deck, and a small amusement park at the top. The photo shows the ride called the "Big Shot" that shoots you up to the very tip of the Tower. Great view.
