Morro Bay is a small fishing village about 7 miles west of San Luis Obispo. It's mostly recognized by Morro Rock, a local landmark that arises from the tip of Morro Bay. Here you can enjoy seafood, bird watching and some water activities such as kayaking. I found it touristy and a little over-rated though.
