Florence is a beautiful town. Unfortunately this isn't a secret, so it is usually very full of tourists. I don’t think Florence has a low season! So you just have to join the crowds.
My favourite starting point in Florence is the Piazza della Signoria. There is always a lot going on there, and plenty to see and do. It is a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio, perhaps one of the most famous bridges in Europe. It is lined with shops, mostly selling jewellery, but the gap in the middle of the bridge allows you to view the river Arno, and the Florentine buildings that line the river. |

| | Brunnelleschi's Masterpiece The cathedral in Florence is wonderful, and aweinspiring to think that it was built so long ago. A trip up the bell tower gives a wonderful view of the city, but often the line is long, (Get there early in the morning!) |
