The Tower | The leaning tower of Pisa |
Famous for its tower, Pisa is really a small university town, and it is the students that give the place its atmosphere. The area around the tower is crowded with day-trippers, who are bussed in, take their pictures and off again to the next stop. The glut of souvenir shops ready to provide these visitors with a small memento of their visit. But Away from the area, Pisa is a fun place to explore, with a good bus system, and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. |
| | The Cathedral Adjacent to the tower, sits the cathedral. Probably less visited, it is a fascinating mixture of the old and the new in terms of architecture, and I think the they blend together very well. |
