In Search of Lizzie Borden Went to Fall River with a friend, who's a Reporter and was writing a story on the infamous, Lizzie Borden. After getting lost a few times (Oops!) we finally found the house, which is now a Bed and Breakfast.
And here it is, folks. It's attached to a Printing Press and across from a Bus Station. I guess the good thing about this is that you can go there for the day without staying at the supposedly haunted house, get out quickly and easily....
But if DO decide that you'd like to sleep in a house where people got murdered, make a reservation early. It's quite popular! According to the Travel Channel, The Lizzie Borden House is the #1 Scariest location in the US. Hmm.... kind of a shocker to you too? |

|  | And, of course, there's a gift shop! You can buy mugs, Axe earrings, cat memorabilia (Lizzie was rumored to have killed one of them too!), mugs and T-Shirts. The best one had a picture of Lizzie on it and said "Don't MAKE me AXE you again!" How I resisted the urge to buy one, I'll never know! |
And here's downtown Apparently, Fall River had it's heyday being a rich port and Manufacturing Capital.
