  • The Common's a well-tended to park and a lovely place to take a stroll in. Although I work right by it, I don't go there enough. Shame. It's nice place!

  • When I first moved up to Boston I used to love to come and sit by the water during lunch. That harbor water was pretty murky back then. Probably still is now. But if you go on a nice clear day and the sky's nice and blue, well who cares? It looks just lovely!

  • Those of us who are old enough can still remember the commercial. We can picture the kid in our minds, running up the streets like a maniac while his mother yelled "Aaaaaantho-NAY!" out a window, and all for a plate of Prince Spaghetti.

Well it all happened here: in the North End.

  • Who says you need to go to England to have High Tea? I've had it at two Boston Hotels. Here's a shot of a bunch of us at High Tea/Shower. It was fun to get dressed up, sip tea and eat finger sandwiches. We even wore little white gloves!

  • In all my years living here I've never been in. Maybe I'm afraid they'll try to suck me into their Religious ways. I do want to go see the Mapparium. Maybe THIS WEEK I'll go. Nah.....

    Boston Marathon: Run Forrest, Run!!!

  • I'd say the Boston Marathon is a must-see only because I have admiration for people who'll do all this running. Honestly, I'm not sure why they do it. Living right off the route of it I see some runners who look pretty damned scary and some are even bloody by the time I see them. But hey, here's to them!

OH....and my neighborhood becomes a giant block party one day a year. You've GOT to love that!

  • I just love the South End. Not just because there are so many beautiful Brownstones and great restaurants, but for it's diversity. All those Yuppies would be just annoying if the lower income, minority and gay population didn't balance things out!

  • A nice spot, in the center of the city to sit down, people watch and enjoy the good weather while we have it. In the Summer there are weekly Classical Music and Rock concerts.

The church is currently being worked on, however, I believe it's still open to the public. It has a square Cupola. You don't see that ever day. Oh, and it's just covered in Gargoyles and other neat carvings!

Beacon Hill & Charles Street: Typical Boston

  • Before you ever come to Boston, I'm betting that Beacon Hill is how you picture the whole place to look. It's really just the most beautiful neighborhood in the city.

However, I'd like to throw my 2 cents in and criticize it for being too homogenous. Again, typical Boston!

Cheers for the heads up on the Harbour Hotel, it looks the Dogs, bit more expensive than I would have liked, but its perfect

Ah, I thought she looked like Juma -- she has that sweet Rhodesian Ridgeback face. I'm glad she's better.
