  • Favorite Thing: NOT MY FAVORITE THING: Boston gets COLD in the Winter. It's not just the cold that'll get you but the wind. If you visit in the Winter, bring hats, gloves and layers of clothing.

Hancock Tower: Tallest Building in NE who's view you can't see!

  • Favorite Thing: Prior to 9/11, this would've been a Must See tip. However, since you can no longer see the view from the tallest building in New England, why bother? It's a shame and kind of silly for the observatory to be closed. The one at The Prudential is still open as is the one on the Empire State Building in NYC. So this makes no sense. However, you can still gawk at it from the street and by all means take a walk by it on a really windy day. You won't soon forget that!

Fondest Memory: I remember the observatory. It was great!

Architecture: The Ugliest Builing in Boston!
  • Tip Rating:
  • Favorite Thing: Boston's City Hall has got to be the ugliest building in town. Makes me wonder what folks were thinking when they approved this design. It looks like a parking structure that would be way too top heavy if it were to be filled with cars.

It actually kind of looks lopsided, doesn't it?

General Tips: Our fancy new bridge
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Favorite Thing: Okay, it's not that new anymore. It's been about 6 years or so since The Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge opened. However, we still like to stare at it in awe and it's becoming one of Boston's most popular landmarks.

Fondest Memory: Here's something you may not know: The tops of each of the arches mimic the Bunker Hill Memorial.
