While staying in Epernay, we ventured into Reims for a day. There was an outdoor Holiday Craft Fair and though it was cloudy, the weather was perfect for this as it wasn't really all that cold. We browsed all the stalls, snacked on goodies, grabbed a beer or two and, of course, saw the Cathedral!
Next stop on the Fog and Food tour of 2005 was Brussels
I was excited to see the local crafts a the Village de Noel. Not quite sure how I felt about the semi-scary Christmas display behind me though....
- Pros:Small, pretty city
- Cons:Mistreated animals at Holiday Fare

Speaking about The Village de Noel : very creative work....
Do you know Rossini's opera "The Journey to Reims"? It's very sweet and funny, and they never do get to Reims but just stay where they are and have a big party instead: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tp/101374/
Another place I've yet to see; the Chagall windows could make it worthwhile!
virgin chickens, mystery houses of faith, beer beer and more beer... sounds like reims is erm.... interesting! :)
You've got to keep one eye on the gargoyles at all times... ;)
