Come Sail Away!

Most recent major trip was in November '11. I went on a fabulous Caribbean Cruise which started in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ports visited were Barbados, Saint Lucia, Antigua, St. Martin/Sint Maarten, and last but not least, St. Thomas.

It was all about fun 'n sunshine!

Sandwich Day Trip

Sandwich was all decorated for Christmas when I visited in December. I took a day trip, did a little site-seeing, checked out a museum, and SHOPPED!

Long Fourth of July Weekend

I did not create this

I spent a long Fourth of July weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE. It was a great time with good friends, good food, lots of beach time, and lest we forget, patriotism!

Paris Baby!

Ah... Paris!

I took my first trip to Paris in 1981. It was gorgeous then and now it's simply breathtaking. Here's Paris, during June of 2009.

I also went to Versailles. It was amazing.

An old favorite

Oh Jeeeze....!

I found VT as a result of researching my first solo trip, to Amsterdam. That's why I'm keeping this picture on my homepage. That plus the fact that it makes me laugh.

I was taking a canal tour and as one does when one travels alone, I asked someone to take my picture. He was sitting across from me and my intent was that he take the picture from where he was. But noooo. He stood up, he moved back, he moved up, he aimed up he aimed down. He probably thought I wanted his family to be in the picture with me. Maybe he thought the family wanted to be in my picture. The result is what you see here. It looks as if I farted and everybody knew....

Thanx for the ratings---my third fave place after home and Negril, Jamaica! Wishing for cheaper flights soon!
I met my new girlfriend (late of Martha's Vineyard) via VT (she asked me a question about A'Dam) and now she lives here with me in sunny Georgia!

That mini VT meetup was so long ago! Don't think I've had one since. Hope you had a great stop in Sandwich over the holidays. My parents still live there and I go Christmas shopping with my mom along 6A every year. The Abbey is the church my family went to when we were kids. I haven't been to it since it was converted. Maybe I should stop by :) Cheers!
