Many visitors to Mexico comment that Acapulco is now passé, with all the other newer resorts in the country. I strongly disagree!
I think Acapulco is still a fabulous place, with a great variety of different types of accommodations, not just shiny towers on the beach.
This is a small beach beside the Boca Chica hotel where I stayed the first time I visited Acapulco.

Boca Chica Hotel sits on a fantastic site--wow, what a view! Mayan Palace looks fit for a king....and a great place in which to enjoy Acapulco!!
I'm glad you liked Acapulco and still enjoyed several different spots there even though it might not be as "chic" as it used to be as a vacation destination...
Must have been a fun trip! Did you learn how to dance Mexican?
Or maybe to get that "spanish" feeling I will fly to Acapulco... hmm. You give me good ideas!
