"Whistler-Blackcomb - 2010 Winter Olympics Site!" Whistler by rmdw
Whistler Travel Guide: 283 reviews and 632 photos
Whistler-Blackcomb is about a 2.5 hour drive north of Vancouver. It's definitely a spectacular part of British Columbia ... and one of the main venues of the 2010 Winter Olympics!!!
The village has a wide assortment of shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Some people come up here and don't even go skiing!
Alta Lake is right near the Whistler area. In the summer it is a wonderful place to go swimming, with breathtaking scenery all around.

Looks like a beautiful spot!
Great pics!
It looks quite stunning. Black Tusk appears rather challenging though - I don't suppose there's a sedan chair service to the summit? I like the sound of Whistler but where is the photo of his celebrated mother?
what an incredible hike! I've often admired the Olympic luge teams. they go so fast!
I've always liked the beautiful pix on here of Whistler, but you've just given it a whole new dimension!! Wow those views are awesome!! Cheers, Ann :o)
Nice, you conquered the tusk eh?! sweet, I hiked as far up as garibaldi Lake but we didnt plan for the day trip to the Husk and had intended to do it in the summer but got too busy with work..i'll have to check out the 'westcoaster' next time i'm in Whis.
Next time I hope you climb the Black Thusk yourself... you cannot miss those views.
