Restaurant Name: Tad's

In most every community there are a few culinary "institutions" that keep patrons coming back for decades. In Troutdale, Tad's is such a place.

The restaurant is situated in an old log cabin like structure on the banks of the Sandy River, just east of downtown.

Their house special is "Chicken and Dumplings" but they have a large variety of other offerings too.

If you're heading back to Portland from The Gorge or Multnomah Falls, this would be a great place to stop in for dinner!

Favorite Dish: I tried the chicken & dumplings because it was something my mom used to make on special occasions. Theirs was quite good!

Tad's is so much of an institution that their hours are engraved in wood:

Sat 4-10pm
Sun 2-10pm
