Just a bit south of Chicago is the community of Hammond, in the state of Indiana. It's a fairly industrial area but also serves as a bedroom community to Chicago.
I've only been to Hammond once, to attend a delighful ghost tour put on by the husband of Dabs.

What a nice tribute to Hammond. The region holds a fond place in my heart. Allan grew up in that region.
