For Americans living in the North (or ANY Canadians!) the best time to visit Miami is between October and April. The sensation of travelling from the frozen north to the beautiful, warm, sun-stroked beaches of Southern Florida is an experience that every human being should enjoy . . . at least once!

Yours Truly on Lincoln Road

Here's a photo of me savouring a latté (coffee IS my friend!) at a French restaurant on famous Lincoln Road. The first time, go at night and you'll find a wondrous assortment of outdoor restaurants and thousands of people enjoying life to the fullest!

Lincoln Road runs E-W; a bit north of the main part of Miami Beach. You'll find it near 17th Avenue. Park in one of the huge public lots (2 at ground level and 1 parking garage) just north of Lincoln Road.

• Pros:Beautiful, relaxing, wonderful Latin ambience
• Cons:Traffic, Excessive Heat in the Summer, Crazy Prices during peak periods
• In a nutshell:When the winter cold is driving you crazy find a cheap flight down to Miami and enjoy!
