"ROUEN" Rouen by SMILLA76

In Rouen, we have visited the Flaubert and Medical History Museum, the so-called ''surgeon's house'', meant for the family of doctors of the Rouen Hospital. Faubert's father was a doctor and in the museum we could see many recipients used by the doctors and farmacists of the time, forceps tongs and other medicine equipment of the 19th century. Gustave Flaubert was born in the house on December 1821, on the second floor, the leaflet of the museum is announcing.

I liked the Tudor style-like houses, ''maisons a colombages'' (''les colombes'' - pans de bois, ''les echarfes'' - pieces oblique, un croix). Also the old street clock (XVI century).
One evening we went out to a club, out of town too. The club had two floors and seemingly two rooms. It looked like an old barn, which has been converted into a bar and discoteque.
Another evening we went out to a little cafe-pub, where peeps were playing footie, a table game of football.
