Ilhas algarve portugal

Ilhas is a small village on our way to Arraiolos. Its only 1.44 km that separates both so you can't really know where starts what. In Ilhas you have several wind mills on top of the several mountain ranges inside the area of the village.
Ilhas is the Portuguese name for "Islands", I can't imagine why, maybe because of the mountain ranges that somehow can look like islands from the top of Arraiolos castle.

Arraiolos stays right after Ilhas. You can see it from the top of the windmil hill. Arraiolos has several churches very worth it to see. The 17th century castle wth a inside chapel is something very interesting and can be seen from miles away due to its high startegic point.
