Ok so this is a very nce city. Well organized and all but in terms of my personal taste, I going to Morocco not to bigger cities but going to the countryside instead where I can enjoy real customs and tradicional things.
Casablanca has been on the mind of many westerners due to the wel known movie. For me and if you have to choose going to Casablanca or any other better place in Morocco, choose the other. Altough I say this, I realize there's one very special place in the city which is quite modern and that many people dislike. Not me, I love this Hassan II Massjid. The mosque in Casablanca is the second biggest mosque in the World and during its time of construction (1986 to 1993) gave lots to talk about and a very big polemic was surround this building. The problem was that a french architect was choosen and not an arab or muslim architect.
Now this is my friend Eric cooking right in front of Casablanca's most important monument. hehe. this was on our way to Senegal and Gambia last March, and we needed a place and safe place to stop and make some food. Of course Hassan II mosque square is a very nice place and it always has police protection, so...

1st Expedition Evora-Tambacounda 2004 (Overland from Portugal-Senegal)
This was the car used by us to go all the way to West Africa. You can imagine 4 poeple could go all the way passing the desert in Mauritania wth this small car? we did. Evora-Tambacounda Overland Expedition was a success!
